Natural Red Food Colouring Ingredients:
For best results and longevity of colour store in the freezer. The colours will not freeze hard, but will thicken slightly. They can be defrosted and re-frozen repeatedly. They can be stored in the fridge, but the colour may fade faster. If exposed to heat and light colours will fade over time.
Remove colours from freezer a few minutes before use. Add a drop or two at a time until the desired colour is achieved.
The red colour is affected by pH, for a truer colour add something acidic such as lemon juice. In a non-acidic medium the colour will be more pink.
When used in baking the results can vary as colour intensity will decrease when exposed to prolonged heat.
The colours can also be blended to achieve different colours, for example the yellow and red can be used to make orange, red and blue will make purple and green and blue will make turquoise.
